Research title

Development of a prediction method for allergic diseases and allergen responsiveness using patients cohorts and general population cohorts

Research overview

Aims
Establishing a genomic foundation aimed at developing effective prevention and treatment methods for allergic diseases
Methods
Genotyping was performed using SNP arrays, followed by a genome-wide association study. For the 25,032 individuals from European populations, meta-analysis was performed using statistical values provided by the EAGLE Rhinitis Consortium.
Participants/materials
Meta-analysis of allergic sensitization GWAS in the Japanese general population: Case 20,492, Control 23,342
Meta-analysis of allergic sensitization GWAS in the Japanese general population and European general population: Case 28,738, Control 40,128
Meta-analysis of polysensitization GWAS in the Japanese general population: Case 4,923, Control 17,009
