Research title

Studies on establishment of germline DNA methylation

Research overview

Aims
Previous studies using monkeys have revealed the timing and mechanism of DNA methylation establishment in primate germ cells. The purpose of this study is to understand the establishment of DNA methylation in human testicular and ovarian germ cells. This study will advance our understanding of human germ cell development and contribute to the prevention of abnormal gamete DNA methylation and the development of infertility treatments.
Methods
single-cell whole genome bisulfite-sequencing
Participants/materials
Three testicular cancer patients
