Research title

Comparative sequence analysis of the HLA region in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and healthy individuals

Research overview

Aims
To determine the full-length sequences (about 3 kb to 14 kb) of the HLA alleles of the HLA genes (HLA-A, -C, -B, -DRB1, -DQB1 and -DPB1)
Methods
The target regions are amplified by long-range PCR and sequenced with MiSeq (Illumina)
Participants/materials
Cell lines from multiple populations: 33 individuals
