Exploratory study of genetic factors in allergic diseases

Research overview

Aims: Genetic factors play an important role for the development of allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma, hay fever, atopic dermatitis, and food allergy. This study aims to identify genes involved in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases.

Methods: DNA was extracted from blood or saliva and genotyped using the Infinium Asian Screening Array (illumina).

Targets: Five hundred and sixty-four children who participated in T-Child study (a birth cohort study) with ImmunoCAP ISAC sIgE 112 data available at age 9 years.
