When submitting an application, we would greatly appreciate it if you could allow sufficient time for the processing.

Following a change to our organizational structure effective April 1, 2026, this division has been renamed from the "Database Center for Life Science, Joint Support-Center for Data Science Research" to the "Database Division for Life Science (DBCLS), BioData Science Initiative (BSI), National Institute of Genetics (NIG)". Where the former name still appears in the guidelines, please read it as the new name.

Research title

The research for the identification of neoantigen and tumor immune microenvironment in lung cancer

Research overview

Aims
To evaluate the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) of lung cancer to develop a new immune based therapy.
Methods
We carried out RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) on 113 tumor tissues from patients with lung cancer. To evaluate the tumor immune microenviroment (TIME), we calculated the score (T-score; Glycolysis, Mitotic spindle, I-score; T cells, B cells, MHC-complex, S-score; angiogenesis, hypoxia, epithelial mesenchymal transition, cytokine production suppression) using single sample Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (ssGSEA).
Participants/materials
We enrolled a total of 113 patients with lung cancer who underwent lung resection from August 2019 to June 2021 and obtained the fresh tumor samples.
