SUMMARY

Aims: Malignant brain tumors are refractory to treatment and have a poor prognosis. In recent years, molecular genetic analyses of malignant brain tumors have rapidly progressed, and several genetic abnormalities have been found to be predictive of prognosis and response to treatments. In this study, we will comprehensively examine genetic abnormalities in malignant brain tumors and compare them with clinicopathological information to identify genes that are involved in tumor development or malignant transformation, or that are useful as biomarkers for diagnosis and early detection of recurrence, and that may be targets for therapies, and apply these genes to ancillary research and allocation factors in clinical trials.

Methods: RNA-seq analysis

Participants/Materials: A total of 124 fresh-frozen tumor tissues from 124 patients with glioma
