SUMMARY

Aims: To clarify molecular biological features and develop new cancer treatments by searching for mutations in the POLE gene region in tumor tissues and the ones frequently present in genes involved in the development and progression of cancers

Methods: DNAs extracted from peripheral blood cells (non-tumor tissues) and tumor tissues are analyzed by whole-exome sequencing

Participants/Materials: 91 hypermutated solid tumors that obtained from patients who take surgeries to remove tumor tissues at the Shizuoka Cancer Center Hospital
